Because I have been listening to On Her Majesty's Secret Service, I decided to look up the website for the College of Arms. While poking around, I found a listing for recent grants of arms which includes a picture of the arms, and their blazon.

I was amused to look at The Arms of Sir George Martin, Kt., C.B.E.. Looking at them (and then confirming by reading the text below the blazon) I could tell that the person who designed the arms has either a sense of humor or something similar.

Key items of note {you can use the link above to see the whole thing} are "three Stag Beetles Or" on the arms and "a Recorder in bend sinister mouthpiece downwards Or" on the crest. And of course the final confirmation is in the notes: "The shield, crest and badge make various more or less explicit references to the group {The Beetles} as well as to music and the recording industry in general."
